Job Description
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting all corporate-wide systems and network infrastructure.
SKILLS
Able to help plan, develop, and implement components and services to satisfy business requirements
Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems, programs, hardware and software
Strong understanding of enterprise security best practices and how best to assess, protect, and monitor corporate resources
Expert with Microsoft products to include Exchange 2010/2013, Server 2012, SQL, and Windows Desktop environments
Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies
Experience with Linux systems and supporting engineering design tools and analytical products
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware/vSphere
Experience and expertise with SAN and NAS based storage solutions (Netapp, ZFS/Nexenta)
Cisco LAN and WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls and next-gen firewalls.
Perform more complex debugging and resolution. Ability to quickly triage problems, determine root cause and drive to resolution
Install and upgrade computer software and network equipment
Experience with systems, network, and security monitoring services
Ability to fluidly shift focus and priorities based on changing business needs
Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members
Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results
Communication abilities including verbal and written communication, the willingness to discuss questions or uncertainties in job assignments and to be able to positively interact with co-workers.
TRAINING
Advanced certifications with Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, and Netapp a plus.
Ability to communicate information using standard Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Office, Power Point, Project and Visio.
Ability to use company-wide tools and systems to execute the key duties and responsibilities of the job.
EXPERIENCE
Experience: Minimum of 6 years experience in an IT systems admin/engineer role.
Additional experience with Cisco Prime, MSE, and ISE is highly desirable.
EDUCATION
Education: Bachelors Degree in a technical field preferred.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and maintain corporate wide systems
Participate in light duty 24x7 on-call rotation
