ROLE IMPACT
Develop and manage the budget for the ServiceDesk group, communicating with IT leadership budget and forecast direction and changes.
Oversee advanced administration, maintenance, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of the laptops and desktops.
Provide technical leadership in system and Application installation for the Vertafore employees and contractors
Oversee and coordinate companywide technology rollout
Monitoring projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress, quality, managing issue resolution as necessary.-
Managing risks, assessing gaps/opportunities, and implementing action plans to mitigate risks, when applicable.
Promoting effective teamwork.
Dealing effectively and independently with critical conversation.
Responsible for communicating project status to technology management, sponsors, and vendors, as appropriate.
Developing, supporting, and communicating Service Desk policies, standards, guidelines and procedures
Delivering employee focused technology implementations using in-depth knowledge within the Service Desk domain
Proactively communicate issues and features to the employees where necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience leading IT Service Desk team
5 – 7 Years of deep experience providing service to internal and external customers
3- 5 Years of hands-on administration and troubleshooting experience with Windows 7 & 8 , Office 2010 & 2013, Outlook , Lync, Symantec Encryption & End point protection ,Juniper VPN, imaging software etc.,
Must have strong desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting skills
Prior experience in ServiceNow ticketing tool is preferred
Proven track record of implementing Incident/Problem management processes
Familiarity with IT Security , Release, Config and Change Management
Experience with HP & Dell hardware
Strong written and verbal communication skills
An understanding of enterprise IT systems such as Exchange and Active Directory, as well as exposure to a wide variety of technical products and issues
Ability to manage competing priorities
High organization and planning skills
Ability to self-start and be versatile in a dynamic environment
ITIL certifications is highly desired.
