Position Description
As a SalesForce and BigMachines (BMI) Configuration Engineer on the Concur IT team, you will be a part of one of the most innovate companies in the country. Each day you’ll have an impact on the company as you analyze, design and implement new features within our Customer Systems ecosystem which will enable Concurs’ ongoing growth and innovation. This position requires solid business acumen and quote-to-cash business process understanding, along with deep working knowledge of Salesforce.com platform configuration, workflow, triggers, and administration. Your familiarity with both native and integrated SFDC applications will be an important factor in your success in this role. While this is not a development position, it is valuable if you have familiarity with BML scripting, Visual Force, APEX, AJAX, HTML, XML, and/or SQL.
Responsibilities:
Participate in requirements review, analysis, design and the execution of small to large projects and enhancements in our Customer Systems ecosystem.
Data and business process analysis.
Configuration and administration on the Customer Systems Platform, including native and integrated Salesforce applications.
Management of security/permissions, workflows & approvals, reports, triggers, custom objects and tabs, AppExchange package and custom application, sandbox data loading.
Installing and upgrading managed packages.
Support and implementation of interfaces and integrations from a variety of different app-exchange modules within the Salesforce.com platform and across our Customer Systems ecosystem.
Innovate and drive best practices and knowledge sharing around the Salesforce.com and supporting technologies platform.
Maintain and end-to-end perspective and participates as a technical consultant in the quote- to-cash lifecycle (Configure, price and quote, order management, implementation and support).
Follow and enhance standard IT practices including Change Management, Release Management and necessary coding/configuration guidelines.
When needed, produce requirements and associated design documents for assigned application features/enhancements, as well as necessary production support materials.
Define and drive improvements around Concur Salesforce.com configuration and environment management methodologies and approaches.
Work with a cross functional, globally dispersed team.
Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies
Position Requirements
Education, Experience & Training required:
BSCS, BSEE, or equivalent years of work experience.
Experience working in a structured release management environment, including change and release management as well as scrum methodologies for managing high volume work requests.
Experience with administration in a global Salesforce.com environment, including management of security/permissions, workflows & approvals, reports, triggers, custom objects and tabs, AppExchange package and custom application, sandbox data loading.
Ability to support integrations on the Salesforce platform.
4+ years Salesforce.com and/or BMI configuration experience.
2+ years of data and business process analysis
Familiarity with Apttus, DocuSign, Appirio preferred.
Ability to pass a background check.
